Selecting a Builder

Two business men shaking hands

Once you have found the lot you want to build on, you should next begin your search for the right builder. While some lots and subdivisions require you to build with pre-selected builders, most other communities are open to any builder. You may want to ask friends or relatives for recommendations or you can contact Point Real Estate to see which builders we would encourage you to consider. We will not only accompany you to the builder models and spec homes as you are reviewing your options, but we can also help you with the following:

  • Obtain base home pricing information for each builder
  • Explain the standard features and specifications
  • Answer questions about the site improvement costs
  • Provide background information on your lot to the builder
  • Guide the process of selecting upgrades and home options
  • Communicate your preferences to the builders
  • Help review the quotes in order to manage your budget
  • Make recommendations based on the resale value
  • Double-check the meeting notes so nothing gets missed
  • Help to answer any unanticipated questions along the way
