Knowing what to expect brings peace of mind on closing day. Most contracts entitle you to a walk-through inspection of the property within a few days of closing. This is to ensure that the seller has vacated the property and left it in the condition specified in the sales contract.
The day before closing, be sure to gather all the paperwork you have received thus far and get the closing funds in order. You might need to send a wire of funds depending on the size of the transaction.
